About

Briefly, I am Scottish and old enough to remember times before PCs/Macs made their appearance so I’ve seen first hand what a real difference tech is making to our daily lives. I got my first PC in 1988 in the days before Windows. I’m using Windows 7 at the moment on my desktop PC. My second desktop runs Ubuntu, I have an Acer Aspire One netbook also running Ubuntu and an HTC Legend smartphone.

After 4 years, we’ve just reached the milestone of 250 posts here. I blog in my spare time and try to get at least one post out each week on anything from a problem I solved on my PC, a review of a new app which has increased my productivity, about WordPress and blogging, interesting websites worth visiting or podcasts worth checking out. Occasionally, I’ll blog about life in general, the funny side, the philosophical side… and the occasional rant.

I like trying to help through blogging, and passing on useful tips. Hopefully there’s something for everyone here so please subscribe to the RSS feed or by email. Subscriber numbers and blog comments are what keep me going!
