Thanks for the tip. It’s ridiculously stupid that Microsoft didn’t just set the default option to be printing according to the actual overall page numbers in the document rather than this p#s# garbage. Printing by page number within a given section is a nice optional feature, but it is far from intuitive.

Zoner Photo Studio currently is still your favorite?
It can make automatic backups (or sync) of only those photos which have specific keyword tag (keeping the folder structure)? Or there are other sw that you suggest?
I would tag preferred photos and have a copy (automatically updated) only of them in my NAS folder.

My dad got ‘scammed’ by one of these companies. It wasn’t a total con in that they did resolve some problems and speed his PC up and didn’t leave any nasty surprises on there but they did fleece him for a couple of hundred pounds for the privilege.
If I have the time I try to keep them going for as long as possible until they suspect me or I get bored. I’ve managed 30 minutes but one of my mates kept them going for an hour. They tend to get really abusive when they eventually find out they’ve been conned – the angrier they are the more satisfied I am.
The ones I’ve spoken to always say they are from Windows not from Microsoft.

I think the OTHER end of the cables are the bigger problem: mini and microUSB connectors always come loose from the devices. The soft metal cases deform and the wires are often so small that they often break after little use.

I have worked on alternatives but some of my devices have docks and therefore require industry-standard connectors. I am finally getting fed up with microUSBs enough to get back to tinkering.

As for Iris’ comment, round has it’s problems. Ever try to use an S-VHS cable and bent the pins?

Works for me on Windows 7. What I found, however, is that the file must previously exist in the destination folder before the upload icon becomes active. I tested this by going to my destination machine & folder and creating a blank file of the same name. unix: “touch foo.txt”. As soon as I refreshed my NppFTP window, the icon was active.

I did not see show FTP folders on my notepad++. But under the plugins menu, there is show “NppFTP window” in the submenu of nppftp and if I click on it, the window will open but it will show NppFTP – Disconnected. What can i do to make it connected?
